Today we will achieve the following Learning Outcomes :-

Students will be able to -

1. Differentiate b/w Artificial, Natural & Phylogenetic System of Classification.

2. State important dates & scientists names who gave various systems of Classification.

3. Analyse the FEATURES considered by R. H. Whittaker for giving the 5 KINGDOM CLASSIFICATION.


GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS :-
1. There are two YouTube video links shared with this blog. Kindly Watch the video before reading the blog.

2. I have given some extra information about the History of Classification system as to who started it & which year. All these notes will help you to prepare for NEET Exams.

3. For CBSE Exams you will need to do :-
* 2 Kingdom classification ( History & feature considered along with Drawbacks of this System)

* 3 Kingdom classification ( History + features considered + Drawbacks)

* 5 kingdom classification ( History + features  considered + Drawbacks if any)


You can write only these notes in your Register, if you want.

4.  You also have to Learn the books written by :
* Linnaeus
* A. W. Eichler
* Bentham & Hooker
* Theophrastus
& their significant contributions in Classification Systems.

5. I will take a MCQ QUIZ On 9th May in one of the following Practical period from " THE LIVING WORLD "
PREPARE FOR IT.
